A powerful solution that provides excellent energy efficiency
Aurea 2 water-to-water heat pumps extract energy from the ground. Because they use this free energy, which is replenished constantly by the sun or rain, they help to significantly lower electricity consumption.
The energy absorbed is transferred into homes via a radiant floor heating and cooling system and/or terminal units (fan coil units, Residenciat).
CIAT heat pumps are reversible, meaning that they can be used to heat the home in winter, cool the home in summer and heat pools during mild weather (optional).
3 types of loop possible
Example of internal diffusion radiant floor (downstairs) and fan coil units (upstairs)
Horizontal loop A horizontal loop is made up of several hundred metres of pipes buried at least 60 cm below the ground. The pipes are filled with a glycol-water solution that absorbs heat contained in the ground.
Groundwater loop The heat pump operates at optimum performance because the water table remains at a relatively high temperature all year long.
Vertical loop Used widely in the Nordic countries, vertical loops consist of two U-shaped pipes inserted in boreholes at depths of up to 100 m. They require much less land for installation.
New: a high temperature heat pump for use as boiler replacement in renovation is also available.
