A complete system offer in one of the most modern buildings in Moscow city
CIAT was chosen to provide the equipment needed to cool, handle and heat the air in 90,000 m² of Class-A office space in a building located along Moscow's main ring road and near the Koursk railway station. The building will house a division of the Russian finance ministry (DKC) and offices available for rent.
CIAT contacted the investor following a meeting with a Russian delegation that visited the 2006 BATIMAT trade show in Paris. A visit of a completed project (chillers and fan coil units) in Class-A offices (similar to those of the future project) was organised.
Bouygues Construction won the call for tender and assigned the utilities lots to its subsidiary ETDE.
While the Russian company Promstroy was selected to supply the terminal units, the Russian design offices involved in the project favoured the services of Western HVAC companies in order to meet all their requirements, particularly those regarding noise levels.
CIAT was selected from amongst several US companies thanks to the quality, price and maintenance services of its offer.
Because the building will consist primarily of open-plan offices, the design office wanted high-quality equipment that generates little noise (in particular for the fan coil units). Furthermore, a system of high-pressure terminal units was needed so as to be the least dependent possible on the interior designer's choices.
CIAT was able to respond to all of the customer's needs, in particular in terms of comfort, and offer a complete range consisting of 361 UTA Compact ductable units, 52 Major 2 NCH ductable units, with high-performance soundproofing, and Major 2 NCH high-capacity and high-pressure units with facilitated maintenance. The 87 installed Melody cassettes have the particularity of an attractive design and low energy consumption. The 60 Climaciat Airtech air handling units, with flow rates of 1,000 to 66,000 m3/h, have been equipped with sound traps. The Europa 2 air-cooled condensers are guaranteed to be corrosion-resistant and to deliver an excellent exchanged capacity/noise level ratio.
Six POWERCIAT LX 3750X HPS chillers (each with a cooling capacity of 850 kW), two POWERCIAT LX 4200X HPS (1 MW) and one POWERCIAT LXH 1200Z HPS (260 kW), all with integrated hydraulic modules, have been installed on the building's roof. All are equipped with the High Power System (HPS), a technology that increases the cooling capacity and results in a higher EER ratio (2.89 for the LX 3750X HPS and 3.13 for the LX 4200X HPS).
For this project, the contribution of the CIAT Group was comprehensive: a complete solution, assistance and guidance throughout the entire project, and commissioning of equipment by the Moscow After-Sales Service.
CIAT invested fully in this project, providing advice, carrying out installation and commissioning from start to finish and backing its products with warranties.
