Technical heat exchange handbook
This handbook describes
heat exchange technology in clear language that is accessible to an uninitiated audience. It is based on knowledge gained in the field as well as CIAT's experience. It also describes the environment of our products.
It is divided into four complete modules.
1- Comfort & air handling
- Definitions and design: Comfort, heat balance, Mollier chart, air handling units
- Practical applications: Calculations and solutions, textbook cases
2- Air conditioning systems
This section discusses the principles behind all air conditioning and energy storage systems.
3- Acoustics
- Beginning acoustics: Basic concepts, sound propagation and noise transmission
- Noise handling: Sound levels, locating noise sources, quantifying discomfort, soundproofing methods
4- Hydraulics
- Basic concepts: Fundamental energy conservation equations, flows, dynamic and kinematic viscosity, calculating pressure drops
- Pumps: Operation and malfunctions 3/ Hydraulic systems: Components, open and closed circuits, installing a hydraulic circuit
