heat pumps

Nature is an energy resource. Each day our planet absorbs solar energy that it stores in the form of calories in the air and the ground (rocks, the earth and water).
This constantly replenished heat reserve is limitless, free and completely recoverable by heat pumps.

The advantages of heating with a heat pump

These are numerous. Heating with a heat pump:

  • avoids having to use a heating installation which burns fossil fuels, an energy source which is becoming increasingly scarce and ever more expensive.
  • eradicates pollution emanating from combustion gases
  • limits CO2 emissions (in France, each household gives off on average 2.9 tons of CO2 per year)
  • helps protect the environment
  • lowers heating bills thanks to substantial savings
  • increases the your well-being and that of your family, improving comfort during the summer months.

Which type of energy is recovered?

With the technique of heating via a heat pump, not all sources of renewable energy can be used.

A heat pump extracts heat from nature (renewable energy) and transfers it to a heating source that will be used to heat the home.

The system is made up of three main types of component: an outside air or water energy captor, a heat pump and a classical heating installation (radiator, radiant heating floor, fan coil units) which also allows the atmosphere to be cooled.
Calories are harnessed at low temperature from the ground, from a vertical or horizontal loop, from ground water (geothermal energy) or from the air (air-source energy).
The heat pump recovers these calories to produce hot water between 40 and 50ºC (up to 65°C for a high temperature heat pump) and supply the various heating terminals.

There is no heat loss when heating by geothermal or air-source energy:
70% free energy + 30% electricity = 100% heating 3 or 4 kW of heating are produced for only 1 kW of power used.

The only electrical energy used is the electricity needed to run the heat pump's compressor. Your cost is limited to the transportation of the free energy drawn from nature.
